Our approach is collaborative, ecology-centered, and grounded in long-term stewardship. We design outdoor spaces that are not only beautiful, but functional, resilient, and deeply connected to the people who inhabit them. From edible gardens and orchards to habitat and water-wise landscapes, our goal is to create spaces that nourish both people and the living systems around them.

Through design, coaching, and hands-on mentorship, we help create beautiful, resilient spaces while supporting clients in building confidence and connection with the land over time.
In-person and remote options
Our roots are in Portland, Oregon and we work with clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. Travel fees may apply for projects outside the Portland metro area. Remote consultations and virtual design support are also available for added flexibility and accessibility.

1 hr consult (remote or in person) — get real life help designing a productive, resilient landscapes.
Consultations include custom planting planning, seasonal care schedules, and practical tips. Whether converting lawn to food- and wildlife-friendly habitat, or adding edibles and natives to an existing garden, you’ll get clear, actionable guidance to relate to and enjoy the land around your home.
1hr/month (remote or in person) for 12 months. Invest in this ongoing, and personalized support. Tending a garden—whether it’s a few fruit trees or a full backyard ecosystem—can feel overwhelming. These mentorship packages are designed to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as your space evolves through the seasons.
You’ll gain not only a plan, but the knowledge, skills, and confidence to care for your land with intention. Grow your skills, deepen your confidence, and build a relationship with your land that lasts.
Booked hourly, 2 hour minimum.
Fruit trees are a long-term investment, but can feel overwhelming at first. When you book a session I come to your garden so we can work side-by-side, pruning your fruit trees while I coach you in this fulfilling heritage skill.
At your session you will learn when and how to prune, key types of cuts, and my tried and true decision process to help ease decision fatigue and paralysis.
You’ll also learn how to assess goals and health, choose corrective vs. maintenance cuts, manage structure and vigor, and avoid common mistakes. Whether espalier, a new family orchard, or reviving a heritage specimen, you’ll learn the art and science of fruit tree pruning.
